The 1850 to 1870 timeframe represents the acknowledged end of a 500 year period known as the Little Ice Age (LIA), so after 5000 years of cooling how many years and how much warming would you expect to follow?<br /><br />Picking a starting date close to the end of the LIA deliberately includes warming from the recovery from that event.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
